At the time of his graduation, he ranked fourth all-time in program history in both career points and career goals scored. As a senior, Bellerose was chosen to the ECAC All-Star team and was selected as an honorable mention All-American.

Bellerose played on Crusader teams that accumulated an overall record of 51 wins and 45 losses, including the 1976-77 team that he co-captained.

A loyal son of his alma Mater, Bellerose went on to serve as the head men's ice hockey coach and an associate director of athletics following his playing career.
