Holy Cross Athletics

A native of Southbridge, Mass., Desautels lettered in both baseball and basketball during his time at Holy Cross from 1926-1930.

He was considered one of the greatest catchers in Holy Cross history, helping lead the Crusasders to a 75-15 record and three straight Eastern Intercollegiate baseball titles.

Desautels went on to play over 10 years in the major league, spending time with the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Athletics.

He passed away in 1994.
