Michael Vicens was a standout member of the Crusader men’s basketball team from 1974-1978. He led team to an overall record of 85-31 during that time, with Holy Cross posting four straight 20-wins with one NCAA Tournament appearance and two trips to the National Invitation Tournament.
A team captain during his senior year, Vicens was named All-New England and NABC All-District three times during his collegiate career. He ranked sixth all-time at Holy Cross at the time of his graduation with 1,721 points scored, in addition to totaling 730 rebounds and 281 assists.
In addition to his bachelor’s degree from Holy Cross, Vicens earned an engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was also drafted by the New Jersey Nets.
