Bob Curran is known for his exploits both in basketball and baseball at Holy Cross.

He was a three-year starter in baseball and a key man on the Crusaders' 1947 NCAA championship basketball team that won 27 games and lost but three and won the Sugar Bowl tournament.

Curran captained the Crusaders' 1948 basketball team that went 26-4 and finished third in the NCAA tournament. He also co-captained the 1948 baseball team, the last college team to beat the old Boston Braves.

Curran coached basketball at the University of Massachusetts for seven years after being an assistant at Holy Cross, and also served as varsity baseball coach at Holy Cross for four years.  He passed away in 1977.
