Matt Ney was a standout forward on the Crusader men’s soccer team from 1999-2002.

He recorded 38 goals and 16 assists for 92 points during his four years, graduating as Holy Cross’ all-time leader in career goals scored and career points scored.

Twice named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, Ney was also a four-time All-Patriot League selection and a two-time All-New England honoree.

He led the team to three Patriot League regular season titles (1999, 2001 and 2002), with the 2002 squad capturing the conference tournament championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

Over the course of his four years on the team, Ney helped the Crusaders to an overall record of 40-24-7, with a 19-5-2 mark in Patriot League regular season play.
