George Paletta was an outstanding attackman for the Holy Cross men’s lacrosse team in the early 1980s.
A three-time team most valuable player in 1982, 1983 and 1984, Paletta led the team and ranked in the top 10 in the nation in scoring during each of those seasons. He also graduated with the program’s single-season (52) and career (149) records for goals scored.
Paletta was named a Colonial League All-Star during both his junior and senior seasons, in addition to earning All-New England honors twice.
Selected to play in both the 1984 New England All-Star Game and the 1984 North-South College All-Star Game, Paletta was honored by the Varsity Club as its Crusader of the Year in 1984.
