Hall of Fame
A durable two-way center and linebacker, Bob Mautner was a key player on the great Holy Cross teams of the 1930s.
He led the Crusaders to an overall record of 24-2-4 and two undefeated seasons, and was captain of the 1937 squad that went 8-0-2 overall.
During his career, Mautner helped Holy Cross defeat national powers like Georgia, Carnegie Tech, Colgate and Boston College, while earning honorable mention All-America honors.
In addition to his accomplishments on the gridiron, Mauter was also threw the discus for the track and field team.
