Joe Lunny was one of the most decorated stars in the history of the Holy Cross ice hockey program.

He broke the all-time school record by totaling 219 points on 103 goals and 116 assists during his collegiate career.

As a senior in 1985-1986, Lunny earned first team All-America honors after recording 59 points on 28 goals and 31 assists. He previously had a career-best 71 points on 34 goals and 37 assists as a junior.

Following his graduation, he signed a professional contract with the New York Rangers organization. Lunny went on to play three years of minor league hockey in the International Hockey League, the Atlantic Coast Hockey League and the All-American Hockey League.
