A four-year letterwinner in football, Dee began his career as a Crusader at defensive end and later ended up playing both ways.

Dee finished his career with 42 receptions for 414 yards and five touchdown, impressive stats when one considers he played two ways.

As a senior in 1954, he led the team in receiving with 25 catches for 236 yards and two scores. Dee was also the defensive star against Dartmouth during his junior year, in the first college game ever televised in New England.

Dee later served an assistant coach at Holy Cross under Eddie Anderson, and played eight years with the Boston Patriots in the American Football League. He passed away in 1979.
