Jack Feltch was regarded as one of the finest tackles in the history of Holy Cross football.

An outstanding blocker on the great 1951 team, Feltch had the size of a professional lineman and his left tackle spot was where many of the running plays were directed. In addition, he was noted for his kicking, setting records that stood for some 30 years.

His kickoffs were especially effective, more often than not pinning the receiving team deep in its own territory. Many such kicks went all the way through the end zone, resulting in touchbacks.
