Larry Murphy was a standout member of the Holy Cross hockey team from 1966-1970.

The leading scorer in program history at the time of his graduation, Murphy was called “the finest player that I ever coached” by his head coach Bill Kane.

In 74 games at Holy Cross, he totaled 119 goals and 88 assists for 207 points. He averaged almost three points per game and helped the Crusaders to a trio of Worcester College Hockey Championships.

As a senior captain in 1969-1970, Murphy was the leading scorer in the East with 79 points on a school single-season record 45 goals and 34 assists.
