Kathleen Courtney was one of the top women's basketball players in school history.

At the time of her graduation, she ranked sixth all-time at Holy Cross in scoring (1,539 career points), second in career rebounds (1,011) and first in career blocked shots (309).

Courtney was a three-time first team All-Patriot League honoree and was named as the Conference's Player of the Year in 1997. She also earned Academic All-America accolades and was the Patriot League's Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior.

In her four years at Holy Cross, the women's basketball program posted a record of 82-37 (.689) and advanced to two NCAA Tournaments.

Courtney was the Varsity Club Crusader of the Year in 1997, graduating with a degree in mathematics.  She went on to Georgetown Medical School and became a practicing pediatrician.
