Holy Cross Athletics

A native of Dorchester, Mass., Jim Zyntell was a two-sport standout at Holy Cross.

During his three years as a member of the varsity football team, Zyntell led the Crusaders to an overall record of 21-6-3. He was chosen All-East and All-New England, and was a key part of two victories over Boston College.

In addition to starring in football, he was also a member of coach Bart Sullivan’s track squad.

Following his graduation, Zyntell went on to an outstanding career with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL.

He passed away in 1992.
