Nick Morris was a two-sport star for the Crusaders in the mid-1930s.
In football, Morris was a three-year starter at halfback and served as the captain of the 1935 team that went 9-0-1 overall while outscoring its opposition 260-19. He made several All-New England and All-East teams and received All-America recognition.
On the baseball diamond, Morris was an outstanding first baseman on teams that went 55-7 overall and won two Eastern Championships. In each of his three years, he hit over .300.
Following his graduation, Morris played for the Boston Shamrocks in the American Football League in addition to playing minor league baseball. He went on to have a long high school coaching career in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Morris passed away in 1995.
