The Holy Cross Athletic Communications office provides services to all members of the media in their coverage of Crusader Athletics. Information to assist the media is provided below. Any media member who has additional questions or needs further assistance should contact the office at 508-793-2780 or athleticmedia@holycross.edu. A complete listing of sport-specific contacts can be found below.
Credentials & Scouting Passes
Passes are required for entry to all football, men's and women's basketball and men's ice hockey games. For all other events, written permission from the Athletic Communications office is required for press box and on-field access. Only accredited members of the media will receive credentials for any event.
All requests for working media credentials should be made in writing to the athletic communications office at least one week in advance. All credentials will be left at the will call window for ticketed events. A valid form of photo identification will be requested in order to pick up credentials.
Every effort will be made to accommodate all members of the working media, but as space is limited, we may not be able to honor all requests.
Photography & Videography
Photography and videography credentials will only be issued to accredited working media and with prior written approval from the Athletic Communications office. Credentials will not be granted to unaffiliated freelance photographers.
At football, photographers and film crews who are granted a credential may work the sidelines between the 20-yard line and the end zone in both directions. At basketball, photographers and film crews who are granted a credential may work the baselines.
Photography or film of either team's bench area is prohibited. In addition, no cameras are to be mounted in any location without the express consent of the Athletic Communications office.
Radio Broadcasts
At football, basketball and ice hockey games, Ethernet lines are available for use. Please contact the athletic communications office in advance to make sure there is space for your broadcast.
Parking
For football games, accredited media will be given digital parking passes allowing access to the parking garage adjacent to Fitton Field. For events at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex, parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. The parking lots in front of the Luth Athletic Complex are ordinarily able to handle all your parking needs. Please note that there is no specific area for press parking at any athletic event, and any member of the media not arriving at least one hour before game time is not guaranteed parking space.
Postgame Procedures
All Holy Cross locker rooms are closed to the media. Members of the media should submit player requests to a member of the athletic communications staff with five minutes remaining in the contest. Following a 10-minute cooling off period, requested coaches and players will be available. Requests for interviews with the visiting team should be made with that school's sports information director.
Coach & Player Interviews
Coaches, administrators and student-athletes have been instructed to grant no interviews unless scheduled by the Athletic Communications office; please do not contact them directly by phone, email or social media. Personal interviews with Holy Cross coaches, administrators and student-athletes can be arranged through the athletic communications office. Players are normally available in person and for phone interviews on non-game days, subject to the individual student-athlete's academic responsibilities. Arrangements for all interviews should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Personal phone numbers will not be given out.
Covering Practice
Practices and other team activities are generally closed to the media. Working members of the media are required to contact the Athletic Communications office for clearance, as well as for up-to-date practice times and locations. Photographers shooting practice are asked to remain off of the playing surface and away from the vicinity of workouts. Access will not be granted to unaffiliated freelance photographers.
