Hall of Fame
Hipolit Moncevicz was one of the greatest football tackles ever at Holy Cross, starting for three years from 1934-1936.
The Crusaders went 24-4-2 during his collegiate career, as he was named All-New England and All-East. Holy Cross defeated Boston College during his sophomore and junior years, before falling to the Eagles by one point in his senior season.
Moncevicz was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game following his senior year, but missed the contest due to injury. He was still able to participate with the College All-Star team in games against the New York Giants and Boston Shamrocks.
Later in life, Moncevicz was a member of the Brockton City Council, a district chairman for the Boy Scouts of America and general chairman of the Sisters of Jesus Crucified Convent.
