Si Titus played on teams which had a combined 23-3-2 record, as he was a star center in what was the golden age of Crusader football.

His senior year was his most outstanding season, as he was chosen first team All-New England and All-East, as well as second team All-America.

Titus served as captain of the college All-Star team which upset the NFL’s New York Giants at Yankee Stadium in the fall of 1940.

He played for several years in the NFL with the Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Si later served as a director of the Varsity Club, and passed away in 1989 less than 24 hours prior to his election.
