Bob Kissane was a star center and forward for the Holy Cross basketball team from 1968-1971.

The team’s leading scorer and rebounder in both his junior and senior seasons, he led the Crusaders to an overall record of 50-22 during his collegiate career.

A first team All-New England, All-District and All-East selection, Kissane served as a team captain during his senior year and scored a career-best 40 points against Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 1970.

At the time of his graduation, he ranked sixth all-time at Holy Cross with 793 career rebounds and seventh with 1,362 career points.

Following his senior season, Kissane was selected to play in the Aloha Basketball Classic, in addition to being drafted by both the Phoenix Suns (National Basketball Association) and the New York Nets (American Basketball Association). He also played professionally in France.
