The achievements of Edward Bennett Williams in the field of law are numerous and legendary, but he also is known by all in the field of sports for his great contributions to baseball and football as an owner of major league teams.
As chairman of the Holy Cross Board of Trustees, Williams gave immeasurable time and counsel to those overseeing the Holy Cross athletic programs.
He was a major force in planning and implementing the renovations to the football stadium and contributed so much in so many ways to family, alma mater and to the entire nation as well, that he truly will never be forgotten.
