Rex Kidd was a three-year starter at quarterback for the Holy Cross football team in the mid-1930s.

As a sophomore in 1934, Kidd led the Crusaders to victories over Brown, Harvard and Boston College, marking the first time Holy Cross had ever beaten all three teams in the same season.

One of his best performances came against Colgate in 1935, when he had two interceptions, returned a punt 50 yards and kicked a 33-yard field goal in a 3-0 win. That victory propelled Holy Cross to its first undefeated season, as it finished the year 9-0-1 overall.

During his three varsity years, Kidd quarterbacked the Crusaders to an overall record of 24-4-2.

Following his graduation, he played for the Providence Steam Roller in the American Football Association.

Kidd passed away in 1992.
