Lou Kobza was an outstanding defensive lineman for the Crusader football team in the 1970s.
A three-time recipient of the Davitt Award as the team’s best defensive lineman, he led the team in tackles in both 1973 and 1974.
Kozba was named All-New England and All-East, while receiving the Turco Award as a junior (Homecoming MVP against Dartmouth) and the O’Melia Award as a senior (MVP of the Boston College game).
A captain of both the football and track and field squads, he was also one of the top discus throwers in New England.
