Sherry Levin was a star player on the Holy Cross women’s basketball team in the early 1980s.

A four-time first team Jewish All-American, she led the Crusaders to an Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women championship in 1983 and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular season title in 1984.

Levin graduated as the program’s all-time leader in points scored (2,253), scoring average (21.8) and field goals made (842), while starting and playing in 103 games.

She was also a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American and the 1984 MAAC scholar-athlete of the year.

In 1984, Levin was awarded the Holy Cross Varsity Club's John A. Meegan Athletic Achievement award.

The players' lounge adjacent to the Holy Cross women's basketball locker room was dedicated in her named in 2021, and she was inducted into the Jewish Sports Heritage Association Hall of Fame in 2023.
