Hall of Fame
John Tosca came to Holy Cross from Brockton High School, where he was a state junior champion and was eventually inducted into the Hall of Fame.
He played four years of varsity golf for the Crusaders and was the team’s number one player for three years.
Tosca served as team captain during his senior year, and posted a 55-8 record in individual matches as a collegian.
He was a co-medalist and semifinalist at the Eastern Intercollegiates, while being a quarterfinalists at Easterns.
Tosca went on to win state amateur championships in 1959 and 1970, becoming just the eighth player to win the title more than once.
