Tim Shea was an outstanding guard out of Cardinal Hayes High School in New York City, where he earned All-Metropolitan honors.
At Holy Cross, he teamed with fellow Hall of Famer George Blaney to form a stellar backcourt combination for four years.
Shea scored 1,218 points during his collegiate career, the fifth-most in program history at the time, while averaging 16.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
He was named to the NABC All-District team in 1960, while earning All-New England in 1961.
Shea’s teams posted an overall record of 56-22 with two trips to the National Invitation Tournament, including a third-place finish in 1961.
