Hall of Fame
Peter McGrath made major contributions to recruiting during the 1950s and 1960s.
He developed the cadre of alumni recruiters who directed numerous student athletes to the Hill, including Hall of Famers Dick Berardino, Joe Wilson, Tom Hennessey and Pat McCarthy.
McGrath was a prime mover in the origin and development of the O’Melia Dinner, and his job with the Boston Daily Record gave him a continuing opportunity to put news about the Crusaders in print.
He also received the In Hoc Signo Award from Holy Cross in 1976.
