Chris Shea was an outstanding sprinter for the Crusader track teams in the mid-1960s.
He set school records in both the indoor 60-yard dash (6.2 seconds) and the outdoor straight 220-yard dash (20.8 seconds).
Shea was also a member of school-record setting relay teams in the 440-yard relay (42.7 seconds) and the 880-yard relay (1:28.9).
In 1965, he won the New England outdoor title in the 100-yard dash with a time of 9.9 seconds.
Over the course of his four years, Shea went undefeated in dual meets in both the 100-yard and 220-yard dashes, with the exception of one loss to teammate John Collins.
In addition to his accomplishments on the track, Shea also lettered in football for the Crusaders as a halfback.
