Holy Cross Athletics

Hailing from Peru, N.Y., Ewald Larry was a four-year starter in football at halfback and was Holy Cross’ career leading kickoff return man in three categories at the time of his graduation.

Ewald scored four touchdowns in a 41-40 win over Connecticut in 1976, while his 76-yard pass reception to set up a score against Air Force was the key play in a 35-18 Holy Cross victory in 1978. He also served as a co-captain of the 1979 squad.

In addition to his accomplishments in football, Ewald was a hard hitting outfielder with the baseball team. He was a key part on the 1978 squad which was qualified for the NCAA tournament.
