WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior shortstop Chris Rinaldi has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 2-8. Rinaldi led the Holy Cross baseball team to a 3-3 record in six games played last week.

Rinaldi's top game of the week came in Monday's 16-2 victory at Cal State Bakersfield, when he went four-for-six with two doubles, two runs scored and four runs batted in. He added three more multi-hit games during the week, once against Cal State Bakersfield and twice at California-Riverside. Overall, Rinaldi hit .476 (10-for-21) on the week with four doubles and six runs scored.

On the season, Rinaldi is batting .319 with five doubles, eight runs scored, five runs batted in and three stolen bases. Over the course of his collegiate career, he now owns a .273 batting average with 27 doubles, 86 runs scored, 59 runs batted in and 29 stolen bases.

The Crusaders return to action on Tuesday, March 10, when they travel to Boston College for a 5:00 p.m. game.
