Junior forward Oluchi Ezemma of the Holy Cross women’s basketball team has been named the Crusader of the Week for competition the week of Jan. 11-17. Ezemma helped lead Holy Cross to a 2-0 record as the Crusaders extended their winning streak to four games.

In a 77-48 win over Colgate on Saturday, Jan. 16, Ezemma was one of three players to post a team-leading 14 points; she also had seven rebounds. The following day, in a 63-62 win against the Raiders, Ezemma recorded career highs in rebounds (17) and assists (four) while also chipping in 14 points for her second double-double of the year.

Ezemma has averaged a double-double of 11.5 points and 10 rebounds during Holy Cross’ four-game winning streak. In six games this season, she is averaging 9.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. She additionally leads the Patriot League and ranks eighth nationally in offensive rebounds per game (4.8).

The Crusaders (4-2) return to action with a weekend series at Lehigh on Jan. 23 and 24.
