WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior midfielder Izzy Grant has been named the Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 1-7. Grant led the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team to a 12-9 victory at Lafayette in its only game last week.
During the win over the Leopards, Grant scored a career-high five goals for the Crusaders. She found the net three times in the first half, helping Holy Cross build an 8-3 halftime lead. Grant added another goal early in the second half to put the Crusaders up 9-4, then scored Holy Cross' final goal of the day with just over three minutes remaining to cement the victory.
Over the course of her collegiate career, Grant has now totaled 49 points on 45 goals and four assists in 38 games played.
The Crusaders (1-0 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, March 13, when they play host to Colgate at 4:00 p.m.
