Freshman guard Bronagh Power-Cassidy of the Holy Cross women’s basketball team has been named the Crusader of the Week for competition the week of Feb. 1-7. Power-Cassidy was the Crusaders’ leading scorer in a home victory over Army West Point on Saturday, Feb. 6.
In the 61-49 victory on Saturday, Power-Cassidy totaled 15 points, two points shy of a career high, to lead Holy Cross in the win. She additionally chipped in a season-best three assists and five rebounds in the win. She also added in seven points and five rebounds in a loss to the Black Knights on Sunday.
Power-Cassidy, who has started all 10 games this year, is the Crusaders’ second-leading scorer this season, averaging 10.8 points per contest. She has reached double figures in five games this season.
The Crusaders (5-5) return to action with a weekend series at Colgate on Feb. 13 and 14.
