WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore forward Katie Quinn has been named the Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 8-14. Quinn led the Holy Cross women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Lafayette in its only game last week.
During Saturday's win over the Leopards, Quinn scored the game-winning goal for the Crusaders. With the score tied at 1-1 in the 62nd minute, she took a pass from junior defender Caroline Harkins while streaking down the right sideline, brought the ball into the box and beat the Lafayette goalkeeper with a low, hard shot for the final goal of the day.
Over the course of her collegiate career, Quinn has now totaled eight points on three goals and two assists in 18 games played.
The Crusaders (1-0 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) return to action on Friday, March 19, when they play host to Boston University at 6:00 p.m.
