WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior forward Logan Ferguson has been named the Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 7-13. Ferguson led the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a 4-3 overtime victory over Bentley in its only game last week.
During Wednesday's win against the Falcons, Ferguson tallied one goal and one assist. Midway through the second period, he set up a goal by sophomore forward Alex Peterson to give the Crusaders a 2-1 lead. Ferguson then scored the game-winning goal just 46 seconds into overtime on a shot from the right faceoff circle.
On the season, Ferguson ranks second on the team in scoring with six points on three goals and three assists. Over the course of his collegiate career, he has now 17 goals and 33 assists for 50 points in 99 games played.
The Crusaders (4-2 overall, 3-1 Atlantic Hockey) return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 22, when they travel to Quinnipiac for a 5:00 p.m. game.
