WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Racheli Levy-Smith has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 20-26. Levy-Smith totaled 33 draw controls, five ground balls and four caused turnovers for the Holy Cross women’s lacrosse team in a pair of games last week.

During Thursday’s 12-8 victory over Boston University, Levy-Smith tallied 12 draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Then in Sunday’s narrow 14-13 loss to Bucknell in the Patriot League Tournament quarterfinals, she recorded a school single-game record 21 draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Levy-Smith’s 21 draw controls against the Bison also broke the Patriot League Tournament single-game record.

On the year, Levy-Smith totaled a program single-season record 191 draw controls, 41 caused turnovers and 41 ground balls. Over the course of her career with the Crusaders, she recorded a school-record 475 draw controls, 111 ground balls and 88 caused turnovers in 61 games played. 

Holy Cross finished the season with an overall record of 7-10, while going 5-4 in Patriot League play and advancing to the Patriot League Tournament for the fourth straight year.
