Holy Cross Athletics

Freshman Owen Egan of the Holy Cross men’s golf team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition from April 11 to 17.

Egan led the way for the Crusaders at the Yale Invitational on Saturday, April 16, leading all competitors with a score of 68 after the first round – tied for the best round by a Crusader this year. He eventually finished in fifth place with a total score of 142 (+2) over the two rounds. As a team, Holy Cross placed ninth.

Egan leads his team with an average of 74.55 strokes per round this season.

The Holy Cross men’s golf team will return to action at the Patriot League Championship, slated to begin on April 29.
