Holy Cross Athletics

WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Declan O'Flynn has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 21-27. O'Flynn went 2-1 in singles and 1-2 in doubles action for the Holy Cross men's tennis team last week.

During Saturday's match with Loyola (Md.), O'Flynn defeated Ryan Boland 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 at No. 6 singles. He then had a 6-0, 6-0 win over Ross Coleman at No. 6 singles during the Crusaders' 4-2 victory over Lafayette on Sunday. O'Flynn also teamed with freshman Diego Tran Rosado for a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles against the Leopards.

Overall this season, O'Flynn stands 6-8 in singles play and 5-8 in doubles action.

Holy Cross (2-9 overall) returns to action on Saturday, April 2, when it plays host to Merrimack at 3:00 p.m.
