Senior forward Lauren Manis of the Holy Cross women’s basketball team has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week for competition from Dec. 9 to 15. Manis helped lead the Crusaders to a 65-52 victory at Sacred Heart in the team’s only contest of the week on Saturday.

Manis recorded 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting. With 11 rebounds, Manis also had her fifth double-double of the season, while also chipping in two blocks and three steals.

Through eight games, Manis is averaging a double-double with a team-leading 17.9 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. She ranks ninth nationally in rebounds per game while also ranking fourth in Division I with 9.3 defensive rebounds per game.  

The Crusaders will return home after a four-game road swing on Sunday, Dec. 22, hosting the University of New Hampshire at 2:30 p.m.
