WORCESTER, Mass.— Senior guard Avery LaBabera of the women's basketball team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week, for competition from Nov. 15-21. LaBarbera reached the 1,000-point milestone as she led the the Crusaders to a 77-49 victory over Dartmouth.

LaBarbera scored a season-high 23 points and a career-high six three-pointers to lead all players in the victory over Dartmouth on Tuesday. She recorded her 1,000th point, becoming the 35th player in Holy Cross women's basketball history, in the second quarter.

In a tightly contested, 61-58 loss to UMass later in the week, LaBarbera led all Crusaders with 16 points. On the season, LaBarbera leads the team, averaging 14.8 points per game, 12 three-pointers made and 33.8 minutes per game.

LaBarbera and the Crusaders are back in action tonight, Monday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. against Connecticut College in the Hart Center.
