Holy Cross Athletics

WORCESTER, Mass.— Junior outside hitter Johnna Shamley of the Holy Cross volleyball team has been named the Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 22-28. She posted back-to-back double-doubles to lead the volleyball team to a series sweep over Lafayette.  

Over two wins, Shamley recorded 26 kills, 28 digs and two service aces. In Friday's 3-1 win over the Leopards, she had 16 kills off a .429 hitting percentage and 16 digs. In Sunday's 3-1 victory, Shamley recorded 10 kills, 12 digs, two service aces and two blocks.

The Crusaders are off to their first 2-0 start since 2010 and swept Lafayette for the first time since 2018.
