Senior netminder Thomas Gale of the Holy Cross men’s ice hockey team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition Jan. 6 - Jan. 12.

Gale posted an outstanding 1.44 goals-against average and .958 save percentage in the Crusaders' weekend series, making 46 saves with just three goals allowed in 125 minutes of play. Gale made all three stops in Saturday's shootout to give the Crusaders the extra point in the Atlantic Hockey standings, and helped the penalty kill unit to hold the Colonials no. 13 in the nation power play unit to just one-for-eight on the weekend.

Holy Cross (9-11-2, 8-4-2 AHA) continues Atlantic Hockey play with a trip to Waltham, Mass. to face Bentley on Fri. Jan. 17 and Sat. Jan. 18.
