Junior guard Simone Foreman of the Holy Cross women’s basketball team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition Dec. 30-Jan. 5.

Foreman averaged a double-double, 18.0 points and 12.0 rebounds with 3.0 steals per game shooting 80 percent (8-of-10) from the line leading the Crusaders to their fifth straight win. She ranked second in the Patriot League in rebounding, tied for second in steals per game and ranked third in scoring for the week ending Jan. 5.

During the conference opening win against Loyola (Md.) she posted a double-double with 14 points and a career-high matching 14 rebounds. She followed that up with another double-double dropping a game-high 22 points and a contest-best 10 rebounds including the 500th of her career with a personal-high four steals in a victory versus American. The double-doubles were her second and third of the season and Holy Cross is 5-0 (1.000) this season when she scores 20 or more points.

Foreman is the Patriot League leader in free throw percentage (85.7), ranks third in scoring (15.6), third in rebounding (7.7), third in double-doubles (3), fourth in steals per game (1.8) and seventh in field goal percentage (41.1).
