WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior
Racheli Levy-Smith has been named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, for competition from Feb. 16-22. This marks the second straight week and the fourth time in her career that she has earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors.
In Holy Cross' lone game last week, Levy-Smith filled up the stat line for the Crusaders against Brown. She totaled nine draw controls, four caused turnovers and three ground balls.
On the year, Levy-Smith now has 42 draw controls, 14 caused turnovers and 10 ground balls. Over the course of her career with the Crusaders, she has totaled a school-record 326 draw controls, 80 ground balls and 61 caused turnovers.
Holy Cross (1-3 overall) returns to action on Friday, Feb. 27, when it plays host to Bryant at 5:30 p.m.
