WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior
Kate Avitabile and senior
Tory Rider both totaled five points, as the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team came from behind to defeat Bryant 13-11 at Kuzniewski Field. Rider finished the game with two goals and three assists, while Avitabile tallied one goal and four assists. The Crusaders improve to 2-3 on the year with the win, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-3 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Bryant opened the night by scoring the first three goals, and eventually built its lead to five (8-3) with 9:20 remaining in the second quarter.
• Holy Cross trimmed the deficit to two (8-6) at halftime, before the Bulldogs scored the first two goals of the second half to go back up by four (10-6).
• The Crusaders responded by scoring the final two goals of the third quarter and the first four goals of the fourth quarter to take a 12-10 lead.
• Holy Cross pulled in front for good on a goal by junior
Tess Prunier with 7:32 remaining.
• The Crusaders then held off Bryant down the stretch, eventually winning by two (13-11).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Annabel Brennan scored a team-high three goals on the night.
• Both Prunier and sophomore
Hadley Cepiel finished with two goals and one assist.
• Senior
Mackenzie Creagh made a season-high 10 saves in net.
• Senior
Racheli Levy-Smith picked up a game-high 12 draw controls.

• Holy Cross will return to action on Monday, March 2, when it travels to Dartmouth for a 3 p.m. game.
