WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior forward
Alexia Moreau has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week, for competition from November 17-23. Moreau tallied four points on one goal and three assists as the Crusaders took five out of six points during their weekend series with New Hampshire.
During Friday's 1-1 tie with the Wildcats, Moreau tallied the primary assist on Holy Cross' only goal. Then in Saturday's 3-2 victory at New Hampshire, she scored the game-winning in addition to posting assists on each of the other goals.
Overall this season, Moreau ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 11 points on five goals and six assists. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has totaled 29 goals and 26 assists for 55 points in 118 games played. Moreau's 29 career goals scored are the most by any Crusader in the Hockey East era.
Holy Cross (11-5-1 overall, 4-4-1 Hockey East) returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 29, when it plays host to Assumption at 6 p.m.
