The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team will be back in action with a home-and-home series against New Hampshire on Nov. 21 and 22. Friday's game will take place in Worcester at 6 p.m., while Saturday's meeting will be played in Durham at 7 p.m. Both games will be shown on ESPN+.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 10-5-0 with a 3-4-0 mark in Hockey East play. Last weekend, the Crusaders split a series with Maine, falling 2-1 on Friday before winning 3-1 on Saturday. Freshman forward
Violet Carroll currently leads the team in scoring with 15 points on five goals and 10 assists. Senior forward
Lane Lewis has added three goals and nine assists for 12 points, while freshman forward
Naemi Herzig has 11 points on five goals and six assists. In net, senior goaltender
Abby Hornung stands 7-3-0 this season with a 1.52 goals against average and a .938 save percentage.
New Hampshire enters the weekend with an overall record of 7-6-1 and a 4-3-0 mark in Hockey East games. The Wildcats split a series with Vermont last weekend, winning the first game (4-3) before dropping the second game (4-0). Freshman forward Nina Rossi leads the team in scoring with four goals and eight assists for 12 points, while junior forward Danika Botterill has added 11 points on five goals and six assists. Junior goaltender Sedona Blair stands 4-4-1 with a 2.23 goals against average and a .923 save percentage.
After the series with New Hampshire, Holy Cross will play its final non-conference game of the year against Assumption on Nov. 29.
