WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior
Alexia Moreau totaled one goal and two assists, to lead the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team to a 3-2 victory over New Hampshire at the Whittemore Center. The Crusaders improve to 11-5-1 on the season and 4-4-1 in Hockey East, while the Wildcats fall to 7-7-2 overall and 4-4-1 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After a scoreless first period, New Hampshire's Josie Linn put the first goal on the board 2:13 into the second.
• Just over four minutes later, freshman
Violet Carroll tied the game at 1-1 when she knocked the puck into the net off the goal line.
• Junior
Lulu Rourke then put home a pass from Moreau to give Holy Cross a 2-1 lead.
• But Alyson Hush added a goal for the Wildcats, tying the game at 2-2 after two periods of play.
• Midway through the third period, Moreau found the net with assists from junior
Reghan Chadwick and junior
Emily Crovo to put the Crusaders in front for good.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Moreau's goal was the 29th of her collegiate career, the most by a Holy Cross player in the Hockey East era.
• Senior
Abby Hornung made 38 saves on the night.
• New Hampshire finished the night with a 40-21 advantage in shots on goal.

• The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Nov. 29, when they play host to Assumption at 6 p.m..
