PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The Holy Cross women's track and field team started the weekend competing at the Friar Invitational on Friday. 

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

• Sophomore Haley Murphy shattered her personal best in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.61, earning third.
• Senior Kate Ashley ran a season- best 56.61 in the 400m, placing second. She was followed by junior Kiley Ronan in fifth with a time of 58.67, only .07 seconds away from her personal best.
• Fiona Doherty earned second in the 800m with a time of 2:16.60. She was followed by senior Carly Robinson and sophomore Abby Hughes who both finished with a personal best. Hughes claimed a time of 2:18.82, while Robinson finished at 2:19.09. 
• Senior Eve Feuerbach placed eighth in the mile with a time of 5:00.06. Freshman Alex Lusby finished the mile with a personal record time of 5:04.01.

NEXT UP:

• The Holy Cross women's track and field team returns to action of Saturday, April 15. The team will remain in the Commonwealth as they travel to North Andover for the Merrimack Alumni Classic.
