Kulis, Sachs victorious at day one of NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON- Senior Celia Kulis and junior Bridget Sachs captured wins in their respective events to headline day one for the Holy Cross women's track and field team at the 2026 NEICAAA Indoor Championships.

Kulis won the women's pentathlon, finishing with 3,478 total points. She placed first in the 60 hurdles (8.72), second in the long jump (5.15m) and shot put (10.99m), and was third in the high jump (1.56m). Sachs won the women's pole vault after clearing 3.77m. 

Sachs and Kulis both received bronze medals last week at the Patriot League Indoor Championships. Kulis was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS: 
  • Junior Angelina Lancey qualified for the 400m final with a prelim time of 58.14.
  • Senior Fiona Doherty finished ninth in the 800m prelim with a time of 2:17.75.
  • Senior Giavanna Ciaravino placed ninth in the 200m prelim with a time of 25.62.
UP NEXT: 
  • The Crusaders are back in action for the final day of the NEICAAA Indoor Championships. Competition is set to get underway at 10:00 a.m.
