Women’s track and field competes in Raleigh Relays and Jaylin Rainford Invitational

The Holy Cross women's track and field team opened its season competing at the Raleigh Relays at NC State and the inaugural Jaylin Rainford Invitational, hosted by Bryant University.

RALEIGH RELAYS MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

Junior Grace Ryan broke the school record in the javelin with a mark of 46.95m.
Sophomore Abby Desmarais ran a time of 12.09 in the 100m dash and 25.04 in the 200m.
Senior Celia Kulis placed 12th in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.00.

JAYLIN RAINFORD INVITATIONAL MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

Juniors Shannon Briseno and Bridget Sachs finished first and second in the pole vault, each clearing 3.40m.
Freshman Frankie Spagna won the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.05m.
Lancey, sophomore Danielle DiEsso, and freshmen Eliza Martin, Macie Salado won the women's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:56.74.
Junior Angelina Lancey placed third in the 400m with a time of 58.53.
Gabby Paolella took third in the women's shot put with a mark of 12.34m.

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders will head down to Storrs, Conn. to compete in the UConn Dog fight on Saturday, Apr. 4.
