WORCESTER, Mass.— Junior
Chris Conlin has been named to the 2021 Academic All-Patriot League men's lacrosse team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
This marks the first time Conlin has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team and follows his selection as a Second Team All-Patriot League honoree.
Conlin carries a 3.96 cumulative grade point average as an economics major. The Chatham, N.J. native, started all six games this spring and led the team with 19 caused turnovers and 20 ground balls. Conlin averaged 3.17 caused turnovers per game, the best mark in the country.
The Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and Academic All-Patriot League team honor student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. The awards are nominated and voted on by the Patriot League's men's lacrosse sports information directors. To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.
